Does anyone even care about the Constitution? How much of Sen. Obama's plans are Constitution? Does our government have the right or privilege to create nationwide healthcare? What about taking a certain amount of oil company profits? That money does not belong to them and the government has no right to take someone else's property and give it to someone else.

As for Gov. Palin? She is exactly what our government needs. McCain isn't it, McCain has to many friends in Washington. Palin has nothing to lose and she is not afraid to blow the whistle on her own party. As a Washingtonian and Constitutionalist I want someone to give me back control of my government. We have absolutely lost control of our government! For the first year in session our latest congress passed one law and spent millions upon millions of dollars to investigate their rival party, turning up nothing yet. That is losing control of our government.

Do I fully agree with Gov. Palin? No! Am I a republican? NO! I despise political parties! Someone made a comment about changing your opinion about someone when you know little... they need to look at that both ways. Read articles written about Gov. Palin written before her VP bid and see what the truth is. Don't trust any media, especially in election time. All media is biased. Gov. Palin is exactly what the American people need to take control of their government. Under Sen. Obama's plan we will give our government more power to do unConstitutional programs, the power to take private property away from those who earned it legally. Do I want nationwide Healthcare? That is irrelevant, it is unConstitutional and therefore it must not be tolerated.

I am going to vote for McCain just so we can have a "lame-duck" President for probably 4 years and then Gov. Palin can give us back our America.

The idea that McCain 'misspoke' about Palin selling the plane for a profit is wrong. Palin has been relating the the story of how she sold the plane on Ebay and sold it for a profit starting with her first speech.

There are two purposes to this story: 1. connect with all the moms that sell things on Ebay, and 2. show her fiscal responsibility. The facts that have come our are 1. she didn't sell it on Ebay - she posted it three times buy had to sell it through an airplane broker and 2. she sold it at a loss.

Why does it make any real difference. Because it is a distortion of her record. And if someone we don't know much about lies about the little things ...

And BTW the 'bridge to nowhere' story is also a lie. Palin supported it until it became a national joke. As for being anti-pork, she hired lobbyists to bring it home to Wasilla. Palin is not Kosher.

Again, what's the issue to a reasonable mind? Knowing he had an Indonesian stepfather it would be surprising if he didn't have a period of dual citizenship.

Its the old moving gold posts - first people are trying to say that he had Kenyan citizenship until they found out that its Kenya that doesn't allow it. That doesn't work they switch to the stepfather with the same unlikelihood chance of scandal.

Key word - 'incorporated'

I grew up on a farm in Indiana. Within 5 miles of the house I grew up in there was one incorporated town of 5,000. UNincorporated places within 5 miles of the house I grew up in numbered 5, with populations of approx. 250 down to about 10.

I dare say that there are many more UNincorporated places in the US than there are incorporated places.

Let's put it another way:

In 2000, the est. US population was 285,230,516, of which more than 58% (166,215,889) lived in urbanized areas of 200,000 population or greater. That comprised 153 US Census Bureau defined 'urban areas'.

Urbanized Areas 50,000 - 199,999 population numbered 310, and had 29,584,626 people.

Urban Clusters 5,000 - 49,999 population numbered 1,838, with a population of 25,438,275.

Urban Clusters 2,500 - 4,999 population numbered 1,328, with a population of 4,717,270.

That means that almost 60,000,000 lived in areas of population of less than 2,500. If each of those areas with some population has 2,499 people, there would be more than 23,000 of them. But we know that there are lots of areas with populations of 1,000 or less. If they average 1,250 in population, then there are more than 47,000 areas of population of less than 2,500.

Another way to look at it is to say that although you live in, say New York City, there are five Boroughs that people might more associate with than NYC itself (Brooklyn, for example). Then within each of the Boroughs, there are smaller communities (at least 97 in Brooklyn alone). Some may more associate with their small(ish) community in Brooklyn than with the Borough of Brooklyn or New York City.

By the way, a community of more than 35,000 can be UNincorporated. An example is Glen Burnie, Maryland - about 40,000 in population. Towson, Maryland had over 50,000 in the 2000 census, and it is UNincorporated. Catonsville, Maryland in the 2000 census had almost 40,000, and it is UNincorporated.

It is NOT inconceivable that there are at least 100,000 communities (whether incorporated or not) in the United States.

The motivation for McCain's decision to send Palin to Siberia... er... Alaska, is to keep her from doing any more harm. Some are not recognizing one important consequence of this, however: she also can't be of any use in campaigning.

So while she hides from the media, Obama will have the benefit of this.

And if McCain sends out other surrogates to try to take on a similar role, this will only lead to more questions of the sort, "Where in the World is Sarah Palin?"
