Canada is not socialist country- We believe in healthcare for all- period! As for economic matters, we have not had a deficit in at least 5 years and our dollar is at par with yours. You import 40% of your oil (from our ground) to support your country. You may also not believe this, but we have over 4000 troops (our population 1/10 of yours) in Afghanistan and have lost almost 100 soldiers. Every dead Canadian soldier has a write up in the leading papers. We not only photograph but bring in live television the transfer of the soldier from the plane to family. People stand on guard on bridge overpasses all over the country and salute the motorcades every TIME!
Wake up America you have a global tranformer in your midst. Don't look at propaganda but at the facts. We would have all been better off if your government members had read the National Intelligence Report and the troops had followed Bin Laden into the mountains.

This is pretty funny. I thought 538 was a site analyzing the polls. And there was plenty of that when the polls were good. But today, when the race is tied up suddenly the main topic of discussion is attacking Palin as not a hockey Mom.

Dear Senator McCain, Governor Palin and McCain campaign advisers:

We request you provide the citizens of the United States with the opportunity to see Governor Palin interviewed by a variety of news media outlets.

This election is a crucial one to us in terms of a wide range of domestic and foreign policy issues. Given the current concerns about numerous topics including health care, the rise in unemployment, the tense relations between Russia and Georgia, and the ongoing war in Iraq, it is neither sufficient nor acceptable that we hear Governor Palin's opinions and ideas only through pre-written speeches, press releases and select interviews with "soft" and "friendly" news sources such as People magazine and Fox News.

In less than 60 days, Senator McCain and Governor Palin could be elected President and Vice President of the United States. If elected, Senator McCain will be the oldest individual to be voted into the presidency. We simply do not know enough about Governor Palin's thoughts on important and pressing national and international issues to know if she is ready to become President, should something happen to Senator McCain.

Thus, this petition indicates our desire for you to immediately release Governor Palin for interviews with diverse media sources including: broadcast and cable networks; national and local newspapers; news magazines; online journalistic outlets; public television and radio.

If in fact you want us to make decisions that are in the best interest of the country -- and do not want us to "judge" Governor Palin by the rumors and gossip currently circulating -- then, without further delay, you will make her available to the press. Further, we request you do not set conditions or place stipulations on what can and cannot be asked.

I am sorry, but Nate's win% just seen WAY off to me based on the trending in the polls we have seen.

His win % was 55-45 when the trackers were ticking slightly to Obama.

Now they are trending to McCain and the win % is 32%?

Come on...even Intrade is more realistic.

The objectivity of this model is starting to look off.

The RCP has not been this close in months, and yet the win% is WAY low. His popular vote % seems way behind reality.

The state polls may be another week, because honestly we would hear the liberals say the GOP bounce is to blame for the big lead in some states.

I do think you watch these three states where Palin will benefit McCain:

Colorado-Evangelicals will bring back the grassroots and win it for McCain.

New Hampshire-Gun Lovers, that hurts Obama's 'simple strategy' since NH went to Kerry.

Michigan-Hockey Mom Central. Democratic Mayor of Detroit resigning will hurt in Surburban Detroit. Unpopular Democratic Governor. This one will be very close.

I think McCain should forget Pennsylvania as Obama should forget Florida. They could advertise a bit there, but dedicate your time to the rust belt.
