"the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" This is so obviously a metaphor suggesting that Obama (the quick brown fox) will leap past McCain (the lazy dog) during the coming. PorridgeGun said...: Even after what we've already witnessed tonight, CNN is still at it with relentless concern trolling, in particular, Wolf Blitzer, John King, and the unbelievably insufferable David Gergen. They just won't give it a rest. They also deliberately snub non-primetime speakers. Evan Bayh was on the VP shortlist for fuck's sake. I'd also like to have heard Patrick Murphy & Veterans. CNN and FOX have been a disgrace all week.

TIME POLL (pre-convention):

Colorado: McCain 47 - 46

Nevada: Obama 49 - 44

New Mexico: Obama 53-40

Pennsylvania: Obama 48-43

I was a little thrown off by the last line where you referenced Jill Biden.

We are in agreement -- following Bill would be an unenviable task. Kerry certainly held his own, however. I never really liked him as a candidate, but he gets a bit of a bum rap. What I saw of his speech was excellent.; August 27, 2008 10:00 PM

Uh, yeah, judas_priest was right about it being a caricature. I was mocking Barry and others who claim bias everywhere but then don't bother to actually look at the whole picture (like the fact that Nate treated all of the CNN polls the same). I thought trying to see bias in Nate's "quick brown fox" line was so over-the-top ridiculous that it couldn't be read any other way than as mockery. Apparently some of the more ridiculous folks here are so out there that my joking could be interpreted as serious. Oh, it that painful.

Anyhow, sorry to annoy you. I've made several mocking posts lately because I think some of the arguments coming from fringe right-wingers her are just inane and don't deserve serious treatment. I thought I had built up enough of an identity as a rational thinker on this site to get away with a few jokes. I'm a 538 addict, and if someone thinks Nate's model is biased then I can't imagine what model they would think is objective.; August 28, 2008 8:50 AM
